All of our courses offered follow the guidelines by these organizations.

All students will receive a certificate or a card reflecting certification of completion of the course attended and passed. All certifications are valid for 2 years.

Active Shooter Course

CPR Courses

BLS FOR THE HEALTH CARE PROVIDER

BLS for the Health Care Provider CPR is for the person seeking medical CPR skills and certification. For example, nurses, EMT's paramedics, etc.

Updated with the 2020 CPR and ECC Guidelines

Participants Learn How To:

  • Take action in a medical emergency

  • Assess the victim

  • Provide basic life support, including airway management, breathing and circulation

  • Use an AED

HEARTSAVER CPR

Heartsaver CPR is for the lay person seeking CPR skills and certification. For example, baby sitters, scouts, workers, etc.

Participants Learn How To:

  • Take action in a medical emergency

  • Assess the victim

  • Provide basic life support, including airway management, breathing and circulation

  • AED familiarization

First Aid Courses

HEARTSAVER FIRST AID

Basic First Aid helps the lay person treat common emergencies before rescuers arrive.

Updated with the 2020 CPR and ECC Guidelines

This course meets OSHA standards for first aid in the workplace. 
Students Learn How To:

  • Control bleeding

  • Care for injuries, wounds and burns

  • Treat life-threatening poisoning or choking situation

  • Address sudden illness

CPR INSTRUCTOR COURSE

The BLS Instructor course provides certification for teaching and certifying students

  • Updated to reflect new science in the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR & ECC

  • This course is designed for healthcare providers and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings or by those in a healthcare training program.

Bloodborne Pathogens

BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS

  • After successfully completing this course, students will be able to:

    • Explain the importance of taking the Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens course

    • Define bloodborne pathogens

    • Describe the four main steps for staying safe when facing an occupational exposure

    • Discuss how universal precautions, personal protective equipment, and handwashing can protect them from infection

    • Recognize warning signs and labels for biohazards

    • Recall how to safely remove gloves

    • Discuss how to dispose of sharps and other blood-containing items

    • Identify the types of spills and methods to clean them

    • Discuss their exposure control plan
